The Bride is a beautiful etching which demonstrates Norman's skill with etching tools exceptionally well. The delicate lace of the veil in white with the detailed lacy background is superb. Rose's skill at printing with the blacks juxtaposed against her see-through veil and luminescent body are outstanding. It is an enigmatic etching with the bride possibly fearing the nuptial bed or perhaps her husband-to-be is about to be revealed.

The original etching of The Bride was etched in 1919 in an edition of 40.
