The Diamond Firetail (Stagonopleura guttata) is one of Australia's most colourful grass finches, living in open grasslands of the south-east in small flocks. Ground feeding, mostly on seeds, the female shares the males' colours, although not as brightly.
This pattern contains full instructions, colour key and chart for producing the cross-stitch artwork. DMC colour codes are supplied (threads not included).

Lee is a professional wildlife artist whose beautiful, detailed watercolour paintings of Australian plants and animals are in high demand by art lovers and collectors in Australia and overseas. She has a special talent for capturing the personality and 'spirit' of the wonderful creatures she paints. Her frog paintings are especially popular - praised by experts for their accuracy and realism.
