FRED JESSUP

After studying in Sydney and serving with the AIF during WWII, Fred moved to France where he set up his home base. He modelled his style after the pattern of Matisse, his colour particularly became French in character and the whole atmosphere evoked in his work was reminiscent of life on the Cote d'Azur.
